Mini Camps at SRV
SRV Mini Camps offer a safe, fun and exciting place for school-age children to be when school is closed.
At The School in Rose Valley, we recognize that families’ lives are more rushed than ever these days. Parents and children are busy, scheduled, and hurried.
SRV Mini Camps offer an alternative model to the school year, summer camp and babysitter calendar.
Open virtually every week when most independent and public schools and summer camp programs are closed, SRV Mini Camps provide a consistent home away from home for children three to twelve years old and their families.
Students from all area public and independent schools are welcome!
As with our Summer Camp program, many of the children attending SRV’s Winter, Spring and Summer Mini Camps are students from other area schools.
The School in Rose Valley and the SRV Camps are open and welcoming to old and new friends.
SRV’s philosophy encourages children to learn and grow as they explore, experience and engage in stimulating creative and academic activities.
At SRV, we recognize that learning comes most easily and is most meaningful when children are actively engaged – exploring, manipulating, creating, experimenting. Mini Camp activities include plenty of opportunities for hands-on activities and projects with a wide variety of materials, challenges and visiting experts to nurture the children's learning.
The week-long Mini Camp sessions are themed to inspire fun and active learning. Future camp themes will include topics in the arts, sciences, and multi-cultural studies.
Children have plenty of time to play during the Mini Camps.
The lead teachers of SRV Mini Camps are mature and experienced school and after-school teachers and summer camp counselors.
